If you’re a London Bakery regular, you’ll probably know that things didn’t go quite as planned when we first opened our doors in September 2016. Being hit with two major family health issues was most definitely not on our agenda. Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Ramona community and the commitment of our customers and staff, the bakery stayed open, and here we are, coming up on our 2-year anniversary.
We’ve been doing the usual coming-up-on-an-anniversary thing: Reviewing where we are, assessing our performance and re-evaluating our objectives. There’s no denying it’s been a struggle. We’re prouder than Punch that we’ve built a loyal customer base, we’ve been getting fantastic reviews and amazing press coverage. Bottom line though, we aren’t where we thought we’d be by now.
Our thinking caps have been worn threadbare generating all sorts of exciting ideas that now need to be sorted, prioritized and kicked into shape. In other words, a new plan, a new direction……..a do-over!
As C. S. Lewis once said:
“You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.”
What does all this mean?
For the next few weeks, our store-front opening hours will be reduced so that we can get everything in place for a new start timed to coincide with our late September anniversary.
